What are Backlinks? And How to Create Them in 2021 – Seo Basic

I thought I’d share my in-depth research into backlinks that have resulted in great backlinks on the whole wide web.

We’re currently in the midst of a great era where backlinks seem to be king. So far, this research has only been conducted on the world wide web (not a particular keyword) so the volumes are probably going to be small. But in essence, I’m talking about a lot of users out there who don’t have the backlinks and external links we commonly see elsewhere. There are thousands of content and resources that fall under these user categories. This is a very small sampling.

I compiled some of the links and then contacted them to ask a few questions.

All links were attached directly to blogs or other public websites and were sorted into broad categories such as the following:

  • Search Engines
  • Website Directories
  • Backlinks from Public Blogs
  • Backlinks from Web Developers
  • Content Developers
  • Content Developers From SEOs
  • Search Engine News
  • Browser Directories
  • SEO Companies

What Are Backlinks in SEO and What Are Backlinks Benefits 2021?

Well, most of the links I requested (and those I asked for directly) were with good quality backlinks and they didn’t take long at all. The links were both strong and viable. It usually only took me about a day of searching and gathering on backlinks in the following places:

Golbat Powered Content Link Template

  • Buffer
  • Dropbox
  • Facebook
  • Backlink Pro
  • Google
  • KawaiiSans
  • Google Webmaster Tools
  • SEO Plus
  • SEO Points
  • Reddit
  • SiteGround
  • Vendor Directories
  • LinkMechanics

So that’s basically my entire list right now. Let me know if I missed something.

The Takeaway: If you’re a website owner and you’re not linking directly to your own content and website, you’re missing a big opportunity. And if you’re linking to other websites, you’re not helping the credibility of your own site. It might not matter to some SEOs. But the vast majority of other users should be seriously interested in where your links are coming from.

But backlinks and links are not everything. In the end, if all the links I wanted were on my own site then this wouldn’t have been so hard. The reality is that I’m only talking about 8 links. But the point of this research is to highlight the importance of each and every link.

Where Did I Find the BackLinks?

With the exceptions of TrafficProTools, MyThemeLounge and MyBlogHost, the vast majority of links were on a website or blog.

Surprisingly, though, only three of the links came from a direct link to my own website. Another three came from another blogger in their own blog. Another two links came directly from me.

In other words, I’ve got no way to say “my” links. There is no way to link directly to my personal website.

So I wrote back to the website owners and basically asked them a few questions.

All of the links I saw were from the web so I asked how they found my site in the first place. And most of the links weren’t the best links from search engines, so I asked what were the best backlinks that they had.

What Kinds of Links Did They Have?

You might be surprised at the results.

There are many different types of backlinks in this data. And you’ll find some links that aren’t connected to any of the categories.

That’s kind of an odd category for me. That means that for some reason the backlink originated from someone else but it’s still connected to my website and that’s pretty awesome.

But in this case, it’s not a huge deal.

It is possible that a website owner submitted links from their personal blog and included the link to my blog as part of that submission. But that’s pretty unlikely. Most websites don’t have the time to create submissions for others to link back to them.

The large majority of links, however, were backlinks to other websites or blogs.

This really highlighted how important it is for me to get the backlinks and backlinks to my website.

Now let’s start adding links to our Seo Toolkit so that we can build the best website ever.

This is the part where I want to build the best website ever.
